What is the application scenarios of Deyi motors?
With a comprehensive range of lithium-ion battery, A/C, D/C motors, Deyi offer solutions for a variety of motorized window coverings, including Roller Shades, Zebra Shades, Roman Shades, Cellular/Pleated Shades, Sheer Shades, Dual Shades, Draperies, Roller Shutters, Venetians.
What type of control methods are available?
Deyi offer handheld remotes, which can be mounted on wall for local control of motorized window treatments. Wi-Fi Smart Link(hub/bridge) enables mobile app control at anytime of the day wherever we are.
How to calculate motor lift capacity?
(Nm x 200) /diameter = load.
Eg: a 38mm roller tube and 1.1nM motor lifts 5.79kg (1.1x200/38)
Is there any warranty information?
Deyi products are covered by a 2 year warranty.
How do Deyi motors communicate?
Deyi motors use radio frequency (RF) to communicate. RF is the most effective telecommunication technology. Deyi motors run on a frequency of 433.92Mhz and is bi-directional, which means that control and position information can flow from a controller/hub/bridge to the motor and from the motor back to a controller/hub/bridge.
How does the Deyi Smart Link(hub/bridge) communicate?
The smart link utilize 2.4GHz Wi-Fi to communicate with mobile devices and internet routers. It also uses RF communication to send and receive messages to Deyi motors.

Does customer need to remove the motor from the shade to charge it?
No, the motor can be charged while installed. Simply plug in the charger to the USB-C connector on the motor head.
Do I ever need to replace the motor battery?
No, the battery is designed for the full life of the motor.
How long will the battery last before it needs to be recharged?
It depends on many factors like the size and weight of the product that the motor is operating, how many times it operates per day, etc. Generally, the target is 600 up/down cycles. Tubular motors indicate light flashes red and other motors will simply run slower, so you know it’s time for a recharge.
What does the motor green/red light flash mean?
Motor LED flashes red when operates motors. It indicates low battery.
Motor LED flashes green when charging the motor.
Motor LED turns solid green when the motor battery is fully charged.
How long does the motor take to charge?
One time full charge will take 6 subsequent hours of charging.
Can I use my cell phone USB charger to charge the motor?
Yes, the motor/battery will accept any 5V 2A Micro-USB charger. The motor doesn’t support quick charging.
Can I overcharge the battery by leaving the charger on?
No. The motor and battery both have integrated overcharge protection circuits. This means that the battery will limit the charge that it will accept if plugged in longer than necessary.
Can I leave the charger on the motor indefinitely?
Yes. The charger can be left plugged into the motor longer than a charging cycle requires. This makes the motor into a hard-wired solution, with a battery backup.

How many motors can be controlled by 1 remote?
The quantity of motors can be set to the same channel of one remote is unlimited.
What is the difference in a 5 channel and 15 channel remote?
A 5 channel remote can control up to 5 motors at at same time or 1 by 1, and 15 channel remote can control up to 15 motors.
What is channel 0 for?
All motors that are programmed to the same remote, automatically respond to channel 0. For example, on channel 0, pressing the down button will move down all blinds that are programmed to that remote.
Can I hide channels that are not in use?
Yes, you can hide unused channels in Deyi remote, e.g. if there are 8 motors on the job you can select it to be a 8-channel remote.
Can I hide channels that are not in use?
Press the left & right buttons of remote together for 3seconds and then press the stop button.
Programming
Why am I unable to pair the remote to the motor?
The pairing is a sequence that has a time limit. When you press and hold the S button until the motor jogs one time, you must then press and hold the STOP button on the desired remote within 10 seconds, and the motor will jog twice to confirm that it is paired.
How do I set limits?
When programming a motor for the first time, after it is paired to a channel, you should first check running direction. To change direction, press UP and DOWN simultaneously. Then set limits. Adjust your top limit position, then press and hold UP and STOP until the motor jogs. Then move to the bottom position and adjust its position to where you want it to be. Press DOWN and STOP and the motor will jog, to confirm the limit. Then, the motor is programmed and will run as normal.
My limit position needs to be adjusted. How do I do that?
For the top limit, move to somewhere near where you want the limit to be then press and hold UP and STOP until the motor jogs, and release. The motor will be in programming mode and you can adjust the position as you prefer, hold UP and STOP again to save the new position. For the bottom limit, move to somewhere near where you want the bottom limit to be, follow the similar process to adjust the bottom limit, except this time, remember to hold DOWN and STOP as you will be saving the bottom limits.
Why does a motor "LOSE" its limits?
*The battery is dead
*Someone accidentally reset the motor to factory settings or sleep mode
Why can't I program another channel to my motor? I was able to pair the motor to the first remote but I can’t get it to pair to the next channel.
Before a motor can accept programming from another channel or remote, the limits must be set so that the motor is in normal operational mode.
Troubleshotting
The motor is not responding.
There are many possible causes to this issue, but most are related to the power supply. Please check the battery, is it in low level? Check the connection to the motor, is it connected? If none of the above, check your remote’s battery. Also, make sure that the area around the remote and the motor receiver are kept away from metal. If the problem persists, please contact Deyi.
Motor is not taking programming.
Multiple motors may be paired to the same channel. Always reserve an individual channel for programming functions or place all other motors into sleep mode.
Smart Motor
How to pair the Zigbee/ZWave motor to Zigbee/Zwave hubs?
Press and hold the S button on the motor head for 6 seconds until the motor jog twice then release the button . When the red led light is on indicates that you entered the pairing mode. Follow the instruction of your hub to pair with the motors.
What Alexa devices are compatible with Zigbee motor?
Echo Plus 2nd Gen, Echo Show 2nd Gen, Echo Studio, Echo Show 10, Echo 4th Gen (Confirm that the spec of the Echo has a built-in Zigbee module, note: Echo Show 5, Echo Show 8, and Echo Dot look similar to the above devices but they are incompatible).
Why the Echo 4th Gen can not support"Alexa, open/close the shades" after paired with Zigbee motor.
Echo 4th Gen support to say "Alexa, open the blinds to X%".Added custom commands in the Alexa app under the routine option for opening and shutting the shades ,as well as a custom routine to close the shades at sunset.
